New Super Mario Bros for Nintendo Wii U

About New Super Mario Bros for Nintendo Wii U

New Super Mario Bros. brought Mario back to his side scrolling roots with a bright and friendly adventure. Bowser Jr. kidnaps Princess Peach on her birthday, and Mario gives chase across grasslands, deserts, snowy peaks and lava filled castles. The formula is classic and comforting: run, jump, stomp and reach the flagpole at the end of each course. Cheerful music and clean visuals make every world feel like a toy box. It is the kind of platformer anyone can start within seconds.

Power ups keep the running fresh. The Mega Mushroom turns Mario into a giant who smashes through blocks and enemies, while the Mini Mushroom lets him slip into tiny pipes and run across water. Shell Mario swims with ease, and hidden Star Coins in every course reward careful explorers. Secret exits open shortcuts and bonus areas for players who look closely. The Wii U era let many fans revisit this style of Mario through their console library, and the simple controls still feel great on a modern controller.

Here is the honest buying picture today. The Nintendo eShop for Nintendo Wii U closed in March 2023, so new digital purchases are no longer possible. The honest way to play now is a physical disc through a retailer, and shoppers should read listings carefully to get the exact version they want. Anyone who bought the game digitally before the closure can still access their purchased games on their system. A clear listing and a clean disc make all the difference.

A birthday party that Bowser had to ruin.
