12 Sai. Koisuru Diary for Nintendo 3DS

About 12 Sai. Koisuru Diary for Nintendo 3DS

12 Sai. Koisuru Diary invites players into the diary of a young schoolgirl writing down the days that matter most to her. Each page turns into a small episode about friends, family, classroom life and the shy excitement of a first crush. Like the manga it is based on, the game treats these small moments with real respect, showing how big the world feels when you are twelve and everything is happening for the first time.

You move through the diary entry by entry, reading scenes and joining in with light interactive moments along the way. Spending time with different characters fills the pages with memories, and the story keeps its focus on kindness, courage and telling the truth about your feelings. The presentation is simple and pretty, with the feel of a storybook you play rather than a game you beat, which suits its young audience well. Finishing entries fills the diary with stamps and little rewards, giving young readers a warm reason to return and relive their favorite school days.

A physical copy is the honest pick today. The Nintendo eShop for Nintendo 3DS closed in March 2023, so new digital purchases are no longer possible for this title. Retailers that carry Japanese cartridges are the place to look, and the game was made for the Japanese market. If you bought it digitally before the closure, you can still access your purchased games on your 3DS.

Sweet, honest and easy to enjoy, one diary page at a time.
