The Deer God for Nintendo Wii U

About The Deer God for Nintendo Wii U

The Deer God begins with a hunter who dies in an accident and wakes in the body of a deer, judged by the god he once ignored. To earn his humanity back, he must live as prey in a wild world of forests, deserts and snow. The pixel art landscapes shift between day and night and changing seasons, giving the journey a dreamlike beauty. Other animals can be friends, food or threats. It is a thoughtful survival tale about nature, karma and learning to see through different eyes.

You run, jump and graze across procedurally built lands, watching hunger and health while avoiding hunters and predators. Growing older, finding a mate and raising fawns form part of the life cycle, and death simply continues the line through your offspring. Special powers and puzzles appear along the way, tied to the spiritual side of the story. Choices about how you treat other creatures shape your karma. The pace is calm but the wilderness is never fully safe, which keeps every journey tense and moving.
