Sonic & All Stars Racing Transformed for Nintendo 3DS

About Sonic & All Stars Racing Transformed for Nintendo 3DS

Sonic and All Stars Racing Transformed gathers Sonic and a crowd of Sega favorites for arcade racing with a clever twist. Your vehicle changes shape during the race, becoming a boat on water sections and a plane in the air, so every lap keeps shifting its feel. The cast reaches across Sega history, with heroes from classic and modern games sharing the grid, and the tracks celebrate famous series locations. It is a love letter to Sega fans that also happens to be a seriously good racing game.

On the track, drifting builds boost, items keep races lively and smart lines through changing terrain decide the winners. The Nintendo 3DS version brings the transforming idea to handheld with its own track layouts and a strong sense of speed. A career mode full of varied events, from races to drift and traffic challenges, gives solo players plenty to do. Learning when a corner wants the car, boat or plane form is the skill that separates good racers from great ones here.

Buying guidance for the current day: the Nintendo eShop for Nintendo 3DS closed in March 2023, so new digital purchases of this racer are no longer sold. A physical cartridge is easy to recommend, since game shops and online sellers stock this popular title widely. Gamers who bought the digital version before the closure can still access their purchased games on their system. Between regions, box art differs slightly, but the game inside is the same speedy package.

Few kart racers change shape as boldly as this one.
