Professor Layton vs Phoenix Wright Ace Attorney unites two beloved series in one magical mystery. A young woman named Espella appears in London claiming her town of Labyrinthia is real, and soon both Layton and defence lawyer Phoenix Wright are drawn inside its walls. Labyrinthia is a medieval city where witches are put on trial and the Storyteller writes events that always come true, so truth itself needs defending in this strange place.

Gameplay blends Layton style exploring and puzzle solving with full Ace Attorney witch trials, where Phoenix cross examines witnesses and spots lies in their testimony. The twist is that several witnesses can speak at once, letting you catch one persons slip against anothers words, and Layton can lend a hand with hint coins when the court gets rowdy. The clash of styles works beautifully, and the dramatic finale pays off both series with real heart and theatre.
