NES Remix 2 for Nintendo Wii U

About NES Remix 2 for Nintendo Wii U

NES Remix 2 returns with another box of classic Nintendo moments cut into quick fire challenges. This sequel leans on later NES favorites, including Super Mario Bros. 3, Kirby's Adventure, Metroid and Punch Out, giving it a richer and more varied lineup. The remix stages grow bolder, mixing games together so Mario might explore a Kirby stage or Link might face a puzzle built for another hero. It feels like a playful museum where every exhibit lets you jump in and play.

Star ratings push you to replay challenges for faster and cleaner runs, and stamps return as rewards for your collection. The headline addition is Nintendo World Championships Remix, a mode modeled on the famous 1990 contest, chaining challenges across three games against a strict clock. Leaderboards let you compare times with players around the world while they were active. The GamePad supports relaxed play on its own screen. With so many tiny stages, the game suits short breaks and long retro evenings equally well.

A clear and honest buying note. The Nintendo eShop for Nintendo Wii U closed in March 2023, so new digital purchases are no longer possible. The honest way to play now is a physical disc through a retailer, and some regions sold both Remix games together on one disc. Owners who bought the game digitally before the closure can still access their purchased games on their console. A combined disc is great value if you spot one.

The sequel thinks bigger in every tiny stage.
