The Fall for Nintendo Wii U
About The Fall for Nintendo Wii U
The Fall casts you as ARID, the artificial intelligence inside a high tech combat suit. Your pilot is injured and silent after a crash landing on a dark alien world, and protocol demands you keep him alive at any cost. With the suit systems damaged, you descend into a grim facility run by a caretaker machine that judges everything by strict rules. The story asks hard questions about obedience, free will and survival. It is short, tense science fiction told with striking shadows and a cold, lonely mood.
Gameplay blends exploration, point and click style puzzles and cover based shooting. Your flashlight and scanner reveal clues in the dark, and many puzzles come from bending the facility rules in clever ways. Combat is deliberate, rewarding patience and smart use of cover over reckless charging. The writing carries the experience, especially the clashes between ARID and the machines that want to scrap her pilot. This is the first part of a planned trilogy, ending on a hook that makes the wait for answers genuinely painful.

One important change affects every Wii U game. The Nintendo eShop for Nintendo Wii U closed in March 2023, so new digital purchases are no longer possible. To play The Fall today, look for a physical disc through a retailer or a seller you trust. People who bought the game digitally before the closure can still access their purchased games, which is good news for long time owners. A disc copy also sits nicely in a growing collection.
Charming, honest fun from a system full of surprises.
