LEGO Star Wars III: The Clone Wars for Nintendo 3DS

About LEGO Star Wars III: The Clone Wars for Nintendo 3DS

LEGO Star Wars III The Clone Wars is based on the animated Clone Wars series. The galaxy is at war, and Jedi generals lead clone armies against the Separatist droid forces across many star systems. The game tells stories from the first seasons of the show, with Anakin, Obi Wan, Ahsoka and Yoda all playable. Unlike earlier Lego Star Wars games, this one adds grand battlefields where armies clash at a scale the series had never shown before. The brick humor keeps the war light and playful.

Story levels mix Jedi action, blaster fights and vehicle scenes, while the new battle mode lets you capture bases and command troops on open fields. Building bases, deploying walkers and choosing where to strike gives some stages a light strategy feel. Hundreds of characters from the show can be unlocked, including many clones, Jedi and Separatists. Space battles and bounty hunter missions add variety between ground wars. It is one of the biggest Lego Star Wars games of its era, packed with content for fans of the animated series.

Finding this game now works differently than it once did. The Nintendo eShop for Nintendo 3DS closed in March 2023, so new digital purchases are no longer possible. In practice this means choosing a physical cartridge from a retailer you trust, ideally one you can inspect before buying. Your old digital copy is not lost if you bought it in time, as owners can still access their purchased games today.

For the right player, it is still well worth the hunt.
