Adventure Time: Explore the Dungeon Because I DON’T KNOW! for Nintendo 3DS

About Adventure Time: Explore the Dungeon Because I DON’T KNOW! for Nintendo 3DS

Adventure Time: Explore the Dungeon Because I DON’T KNOW! sends Finn, Jake and their friends into a huge secret dungeon beneath the Candy Kingdom. Princess Bubblegum needs heroes to reach the very bottom and deal with whatever is escaping from the deep, and she is not saying exactly what waits down there. The game wears its silly title proudly and keeps the jokes coming as you descend floor after floor.

This is a fast top down dungeon crawler built for action. You hack through waves of enemies, smash open chests and scoop up treasure to spend on upgrades back at the surface. Playable heroes include Finn, Jake, Marceline and Cinnamon Bun, each with their own attacks and strengths, and friends can join the crawl together. Every set of floors ends in a boss fight, and the voice cast from the show keeps the mood light throughout. Difficulty climbs fairly as you descend, and the game is generous with health and treasure for players who explore side rooms instead of rushing downward blindly.

The dungeon entrance is physical these days. The Nintendo eShop for Nintendo 3DS closed in March 2023, ending new digital purchases for this game. A physical copy from a retailer is the honest way to descend now. Players who bought it digitally before the closure can still access their purchased games and keep digging for treasure.

Silly, speedy dungeon fun with the whole gang along for the ride.
