Yo Kai Watch 2: Bony Spirits for Nintendo 3DS

About Yo Kai Watch 2: Bony Spirits for Nintendo 3DS

Yo Kai Watch 2 Bony Spirits is the western edition built around the Bony army of Yo Kai. Nate's memories of his spirit friends are stolen, and recovering them leads to a journey sixty years into the past, where his grandfather Nathaniel is fighting the same war as a boy. Two wicked Yo Kai are bending time itself, and the fate of the first watch hangs over both eras. It is a bigger, warmer and funnier sequel that deepens everything the first game started in Springdale.

This edition carries Bony exclusive Yo Kai and quests, with trading and battles linking it to its Fleshy Souls partner. The world adds new districts, a rural town and a train system full of hidden stops and secret spirits. Battles use the refined rotating team and the Model Zero watch, while a new multiplayer Busters mode lets friends hunt oni together. There is a generous post game too, with legendary Yo Kai and tough bosses waiting for teams built with care and patience.

Western players can still join the Bony side with a little hunting. The Nintendo eShop for Nintendo 3DS closed in March 2023, so new digital purchases are no longer possible. The physical cartridge sold in large numbers and stays reasonably priced at second hand shops and online. Anyone who picked the digital version during the store years can still access their purchased games on their Nintendo 3DS today. Pair it with a Fleshy Souls friend and the collection opens up twice as fast.

Time travel tastes better with a Bony twist.
