Okiraku Golf 3D for Nintendo 3DS

About Okiraku Golf 3D for Nintendo 3DS

Okiraku Golf 3D is golf with the stress taken out. The Okiraku name means relaxed, and this entry in the series keeps everything friendly. Short courses, clear controls and cheerful presentation make it a game you can enjoy even if real golf leaves you cold. You step onto the tee, judge the wind and the slope, and try to send the ball home in as few strokes as your growing skill allows.

The swing system is easy to read, so success comes from judging distance and terrain rather than fighting the controls. Courses add bunkers, water and tricky greens as you improve, and playing well earns rewards that keep you coming back for one more round. Rounds are quick, which suits the handheld perfectly, and the calm pace makes it a fine game before bed or on a short trip. It will not replace a deep golf simulation, but it never tries to. It is here for pleasant holes and gentle progress.

Tracking down a copy is part of the charm now. The Nintendo eShop for Nintendo 3DS closed in March 2023, so new digital purchases are no longer possible. A physical cartridge from a retailer is the honest pick, whether online or on a shop shelf. Anyone who bought the game digitally before the closure can still access their purchased games, keeping their earlier purchase safe.

This is one to treasure on the shelf and screen.
