Whispering Willows is a haunting adventure about Elena, a young girl searching for her missing father in a dark old mansion. A special amulet lets her spirit leave her body, slipping through narrow gaps and speaking with the ghosts who linger in the halls. The hand painted art is beautiful and sad, full of moonlight, candles and quiet rooms with troubled pasts. Each ghost has a story, and helping them often unlocks the next door. It is a gentle kind of horror, more about sorrow and mystery than sudden frights.

Play moves between Elena and her spirit form. In spirit form she can float to high places, possess objects and talk with the dead, while her body handles switches and items in the physical world. Puzzles grow naturally from this split, asking you to think in two worlds at once. Notes and memories scattered through the mansion build the sad history of the place and its owners. The pace is slow and thoughtful, closer to a good ghost story than an action game. Its short length suits one or two quiet evenings.
