The Legend of Zelda: Oracle of Seasons for Nintendo 3DS

About The Legend of Zelda: Oracle of Seasons for Nintendo 3DS

The Legend of Zelda: Oracle of Seasons takes Link to Holodrum, where he watches the general Onox kidnap Din, the Oracle of Seasons, in a burst of storm and stone. Without Din, the seasons spin out of control. Snow buries spring flowers, lakes dry up in summer heat and paths vanish under autumn leaves. Link takes up the Rod of Seasons to command the weather himself and set the land right, one dungeon at a time.

Changing seasons is a brilliant puzzle engine. A frozen river in winter becomes a crossing, a dried lakebed in summer reveals a cave, and vines only climb in the warmth of spring. Seasons favors action a touch more than its sibling, with lively boss fights and animal companions like Ricky the boxing kangaroo who help you cross rough ground. Holodrum feels different in every season, and that simple trick never stops being delightful.

Finding a copy today works a little differently than it once did. The Nintendo eShop for Nintendo 3DS closed in March 2023, so new digital purchases are no longer possible for this game. The honest way to play The Legend of Zelda: Oracle of Seasons now is a physical cartridge from a retailer or a reputable second hand shop. Players who bought it digitally before the closure can still access their purchased games on their own system.

Master the seasons and Holodrum will open its secrets one by one.
