Super Little Acorns 3D Turbo is a bright platform game about Mr Nibbles, a squirrel whose winter acorns have been taken by woodland baddies. To win them back he races through forests, gardens and spooky woods, swinging from branches and bouncing on enemies. The levels are short, colourful and packed with fruit to collect, and the whole adventure has the energy of a Saturday morning cartoon. A turbo boost of speed and polish makes this Nintendo 3DS version the liveliest way to enjoy his daring quest, with new content layered over the much loved original outing.

The grappling swing is the star move. Mr Nibbles fires a rope to grab branches and pegs, swinging across gaps with real momentum, and letting go at the perfect moment sends him flying toward hidden fruit. Time targets on every level push you to replay stages faster and cleaner, hunting for the routes that shave off seconds.
