Sportsball for Nintendo Wii U

About Sportsball for Nintendo Wii U

Sportsball is a chaotic local multiplayer sport where athletes ride giant birds and fight to knock a ball into the rival goal. It takes the shape of soccer, shakes it with jousting style charges and aerial duels, and calls the result a sport. Matches are loud, silly and completely unpredictable, because birds do not steer like players and every bounce can become a goal. It was built for sofas full of friends shouting at the same screen.

You charge, flap and bump to steal possession, then line up the perfect strike while rivals swoop in to ruin it. Different arenas and ball types change the flow, and team play rewards passing as much as solo heroics. The simple controls mean anyone can join within a minute, but reading the bounce of the ball takes real practice. Short matches and instant rematches keep the rivalry rolling, and the final seconds of a tied game are pure sporting madness. The sound design deserves a mention too, with music and effects that quietly lift every scene they touch.

May your bird fly true and your rivals miss wildly.
