SEGA 3D Classics Collection for Nintendo 3DS
About SEGA 3D Classics Collection for Nintendo 3DS
SEGA 3D Classics Collection gathers nine beloved Sega games, rebuilt by the masters at M2 with stereoscopic 3D and a shelf of thoughtful extras. The lineup spans eras and genres: Sonic the Hedgehog, Altered Beast, Fantasy Zone, Galaxy Force II, Thunder Blade and more, including games that had never left Japan before. Each title was treated like a museum piece, with original modes preserved and new options layered in for modern players.
The care shows everywhere. You can switch between regional versions, adjust difficulty, use save states and in some games enjoy features borrowed from other releases, like spin dash tweaks or extra stages. The 3D effect adds genuine depth to side scrollers and a striking sense of speed to the arcade racers and shooters. Interviews and artwork in the package celebrate the history behind the games. For retro fans, this collection is less a compilation and more a love letter, printed in cartridges.

This love letter now circulates on cartridge. The Nintendo eShop for Nintendo 3DS closed in March 2023, so new digital purchases are no longer possible. A physical copy from a retailer is the easy way to add it to a retro shelf. Collectors who bought it digitally before the closure can still access their purchased games, so their classic lineups remain ready to play on their systems.
It treats old games with rare respect.
