Puyo Puyo Tetris for Nintendo 3DS
About Puyo Puyo Tetris for Nintendo 3DS
Puyo Puyo Tetris smashes together two of the greatest puzzle games ever made and somehow makes both shine brighter. The crew of the starship Tetra, led by Tee and his friend O, crash into the world of Puyo Puyo, and soon Arle, Ringo and friends are settling every problem the only fair way they know, with puzzle battles. One side stacks falling tetrominoes while the other pops coloured Puyo, and the results are pure joyful chaos.
Versus mode lets each player pick a different game, swap mode switches the boards mid match, and fusion mode mixes both pieces on one board for glorious confusion. A full adventure mode tells the story across many stages with varied rules, while lessons teach both games from scratch. Clearing lines sends garbage to Puyo boards and big Puyo chains bury Tetris wells, so matches swing wildly until the final second. Few party puzzle games create this much laughter.

Finding the game is easy enough with a little care. The Nintendo eShop for Nintendo 3DS closed in March 2023, and that ended new digital purchases for the whole system. The honest way to play now is a physical cartridge bought through a trusted retailer, loose for playing or boxed for collecting. Players who bought the game digitally before the closure can still access their purchased games on their own hardware.
Two classics, one board and endless friendly arguments.
