Punch Club is a boxing management game with a story soaked in nineties action movie flavour. Your fighter loses his father as a boy and grows up dreaming of answers and a championship, so you guide his whole life, not just his fights. Days are split between training at the gym, working jobs for cash, eating right and resting, and every choice shapes the boxer who steps into the ring when fight night arrives.

You build strength, agility or stamina, unlock skills along three fighting paths and pick tactics before each bout, then watch your man carry out the plan. Managing hunger, energy and mood is a puzzle in itself, and the story branches with crime, love and even mutant crocodiles in the sewers. Pixel art and a knowing sense of humour keep the grind charming. It is a management game where every week feels like a Rocky training montage.

Playing it today comes with one clear limit. The Nintendo eShop for Nintendo 3DS closed in March 2023, so new digital purchases are no longer possible, and this title was a digital only release with no cartridge edition.
