About Project Zero Maiden of Black Water for Nintendo Wii U
Project Zero Maiden of Black Water is a chilling horror adventure set on Mount Hikami, a beautiful mountain with a dark history of tragedy and ritual. Three characters, including Yuri Kozukata who can see the dead, climb its paths for their own painful reasons. Water soaks everything here, from flooded shrines to rainy forests, and the mountain spirits grow stronger as you get wetter. Few horror games feel this damp, quiet and sad.
Your only weapon is the Camera Obscura, a camera that harms ghosts when you photograph them at the perfect moment. Framing several spirits and striking just before they attack builds powerful shots, but it means letting terror get very close. The Wii U GamePad acts as the camera, which makes aiming feel wonderfully natural. Between scares, letters and memories reveal the mountain story in small, haunting pieces that linger long after you stop playing. Difficult moments arrive fairly, and the game usually gives you the tools to solve them before they truly bite.
