Since the Nintendo eShop for Nintendo 3DS closed in March 2023, new digital purchases of this classic are no longer possible. Anyone who bought the Virtual Console release before the closure can still access their purchased games whenever they like. The other honest route is the original cartridge, which retro shops still stock for collectors who own the classic hardware it was made for.
