Pokemon Dream Radar for Nintendo 3DS

About Pokemon Dream Radar for Nintendo 3DS

Pokemon Dream Radar is an augmented reality companion built for Pokemon Black 2 and White 2. Working for Professor Burnet, you use the Nintendo 3DS cameras to search the Interdream Zone, a space that appears right inside your own room. Dream Clouds drift through your real surroundings, and inside them hide Pokemon and useful items. Aim, fire your beam and catch what you find, then transfer your prizes into your Black 2 or White 2 game, where they join your adventure with a special hidden ability.

The catching itself is a light aiming game. Clouds must be hit repeatedly to reveal what they hold, and escaping Pokemon demand quick and steady hands. Upgrades improve your beam and your chances against rarer finds, and playing with a Nintendo DS generation game in the system unlocks special encounters with famous legendary Pokemon in new forms. Its most famous prizes were the Therian Formes of Tornadus, Thundurus and Landorus, which this app introduced to the world. Small, strange and memorable, it captured the playful experimental spirit of the era.

A quick word of honesty for collectors: Pokemon Dream Radar lived only on the digital store. The Nintendo eShop for Nintendo 3DS closed in March 2023, so new digital purchases are no longer possible and no cartridge version exists to chase instead. If you bought it digitally before the closure, you can still access your purchased games on your system, which makes early buyers the fortunate ones here.

Your living room will never hide Pokemon the same way again.
