MonHun Nikki: Poka Poka Airu Mura DX for Nintendo 3DS

About MonHun Nikki: Poka Poka Airu Mura DX for Nintendo 3DS

MonHun Nikki Poka Poka Airu Mura DX takes the world of Monster Hunter and hands it to the Felynes, the cat like companions who usually cook and carry for human hunters. Here they run their own village, and you help it grow from a tiny camp into a busy and happy home. There are no giant hunts to fear. Instead the Felynes gather materials, open shops, plant fields and welcome new residents, all drawn in a soft storybook style that makes even famous monsters look round, sleepy and completely harmless.

Daily life is the game. You assign Felynes to jobs, send small parties out to gather in nearby areas and use what they bring home to build new facilities for the village. Visiting hunters arrive with requests, and completing their quests earns rewards and new buildings. The DX version expands the original release with more content, more Felyne friends and extra facilities to unlock.

A quick note on buying it today. The Nintendo eShop for Nintendo 3DS closed in March 2023, so new digital purchases are no longer possible for this or any other title on the system. Look for a physical cartridge from a retailer instead. This expanded village game was a Japanese retail release, so collectors will find imported boxed copies, with all menus and dialogue presented in Japanese. If you bought it digitally before the closure, you can still access your purchased games as before.

The cats finally run the village, and they run it very well.
