Medarot Classics: Kabuto & Kuwagata Ver for Nintendo 3DS

About Medarot Classics: Kabuto & Kuwagata Ver for Nintendo 3DS

Medarot Classics gathers the first five Game Boy era Medarot adventures into one Nintendo 3DS collection, again split into Kabuto and Kuwagata versions as the series tradition demands. These are the games where Medabots, medals and Robattles began, following young heroes, school rivals and the mischief of the Rubberobo Gang. For Japanese fans it was a nostalgia package, and for newer players it is a history lesson that still plays with real charm.

Each classic keeps its original structure of exploring towns, collecting parts and fighting turn based Robattles, with quality touches added for the new hardware. Playing the early games in order shows how quickly the systems grew, from simple part swaps to deeper medal ideas. Version splits preserve the original exclusives, so Kabuto and Kuwagata collections differ in which Medabots and parts appear. It is a generous archive of a series that never had this spotlight in the west.

Classics was a Japanese boxed collection for 3DS. The Nintendo eShop for Nintendo 3DS closed in March 2023, which means new digital purchases are no longer possible. The honest way to play now is a physical cartridge from a retailer who imports, and the five in one value makes it a smart collector target. Players who bought the collection digitally before the closure can still access their purchased games and all five classics inside.

Five beginnings of a robot battling legend.
