Tekken 3D Prime Edition for Nintendo 3DS

About Tekken 3D Prime Edition for Nintendo 3DS

Tekken 3D Prime Edition squeezes the famous King of Iron Fist Tournament onto the Nintendo 3DS. Forty fighters step into the ring, from Heihachi and Kazuya to Nina, Law and the rest of the wild roster. The game runs at a smooth pace that keeps every punch and juggle feeling sharp, and the 3D effect adds punch to the biggest hits. As a bonus, the package includes a full animated Tekken film to watch on the system, making it a real treat for series fans.

The fighting keeps the deep Tekken style of strings, juggles and sidesteps. Quick battles, survival and practice modes give you ways to sharpen your skills, while a card collecting system rewards wins with art and scenes from across the series. Controls map well to the handheld, and special moves are easy to pull off once you learn your fighter. Finding a main and mastering their best combos is the heart of the fun. Short matches suit portable play, but the depth is pure arcade Tekken.

This tournament was sold on cartridge during the early 3DS years. The Nintendo eShop for Nintendo 3DS closed in March 2023, so new digital purchases are no longer possible anyway. The honest way to play now is a physical cartridge from a retailer, and it remains a common find in used game bins. Players who owned it digitally before the closure can still access their purchased games on their system as normal.

A pocket sized tournament with heavyweight depth.
