Mario & Luigi: Bowser’s Inside Story + Bowser Jr’s Journey for Nintendo 3DS
About Mario & Luigi: Bowser’s Inside Story + Bowser Jr’s Journey for Nintendo 3DS
A sickness called the Blorbs is swelling Toads across the Mushroom Kingdom, and the cure quest takes a wild turn when Bowser swallows Mario, Luigi and many others whole. Trapped inside the Koopa King, the brothers explore living tunnels and organs while Bowser travels the kingdom outside, battling Fawful for his stolen castle. This Nintendo 3DS remake pairs that beloved story with Bowser Jr Journey, a new tale of the young prince and the Koopalings.
Inside sections play like clever two dimensional adventures where helping Bowser means solving puzzles with his own body, while Bowser scenes use punches, fire breath and vacuum moves in the field. Battles on both sides rely on timing and reading enemy tells. Bowser Jr Journey switches to squad based strategy, where you arrange troops, watch them clash and support them with captain commands. The remake updates the art, smooths the pacing and packs two full adventures into one cartridge.

This remake is easy to find in shops that still stock 3DS games. The Nintendo eShop for Nintendo 3DS closed in March 2023, so new digital purchases are no longer possible today. The honest way to play is a physical cartridge from a retailer, and boxed copies remain common in many regions. Players who bought the game digitally before the closure can still access their purchased games, so the inside adventure and the Jr story both stay available to them.
Two adventures, one cartridge and a whole lot of Bowser.
