Liberation Maiden is a shooting game from designer Suda51, made as part of the Guild01 collection. In the future, Japan has been taken over by an enemy force that drains the land and its energy. Shoko Ozora, the young president of New Japan, pilots the flying mech Kamui to free her country region by region. The story is dramatic anime science fiction, told with animated scenes and a determined heroine. Each stage is a region of Japan waiting to be liberated from huge enemy machines.

You fly over 3D landscapes, aiming with the touch screen while moving Kamui with the stick. Locking onto many targets at once and releasing a storm of missiles is the heart of the action. Enemy fire fills the screen in big battles, so dodging and smart use of your shield matter as much as aim. Giant bosses guard each region, with weak points to hunt while their patterns grow wilder. The game is short but intense, built for replaying stages to earn better scores and cleaner victories.
