LEGO Star Wars The Force Awakens for Nintendo 3DS

About LEGO Star Wars The Force Awakens for Nintendo 3DS

LEGO Star Wars The Force Awakens retells the seventh Star Wars film with brick humor and extra story scenes. Rey, a scavenger on Jakku, meets the runaway stormtrooper Finn and the droid BB 8, and their escape pulls them into the Resistance fight against the First Order. Han Solo and Chewbacca return to help the new heroes. The game adds small new story moments that fill gaps from the film, which fans appreciated. Familiar scenes, from the Millennium Falcon chase to the Starkiller battle, all appear.

New ideas freshen the classic Lego formula. Blaster battles let you take cover and shoot from behind barriers, while multi builds let you smash one pile of bricks and choose what to build from it, opening different paths. Flight sections put you in X wings and the Falcon for fast action. The roster is large, with heroes, villains and droids from the film to unlock. Collectibles fill every level, and the humor keeps the darker film moments light enough for younger players to enjoy.

The sensible path is a physical cartridge bought from a retailer, a game shop or a seller with a clear returns policy. Collectors should keep one fact in mind. The Nintendo eShop for Nintendo 3DS closed in March 2023, so new digital purchases are no longer possible at all. Longtime owners are fine too, because people who bought it digitally before the closure can still access their purchased games.

That mix keeps it fondly remembered by fans of the system.
