LEGO Marvel’s Avengers for Nintendo 3DS

About LEGO Marvel’s Avengers for Nintendo 3DS

LEGO Marvels Avengers retells the first two Avengers films in Lego form. You replay the battle of New York from the first film and the fight against Ultron from the second, scene by scene with jokes added everywhere. Quips and visual gags soften the big action, and the original film audio style gives scenes a familiar feel. Between the film stories, hub areas let you explore places like New York and the Barton farm at your own pace.

The roster passes two hundred characters when unlockables are counted, including heroes from across the Marvel films and comics. Team up moves are the star of combat, letting pairs of Avengers perform special attacks together, like Thor charging Iron Man and his armor with lightning. Levels mix fighting, flying and character puzzles, with Stan Lee hidden in peril as always. Collecting studs and characters gives the game long life after the credits. Fans can spend hours simply testing hero pairs to see their special team attacks.

One thing every buyer should know first: the Nintendo eShop for Nintendo 3DS closed in March 2023, and new digital purchases ended with it. A physical cartridge from a retailer remains the honest way to own and play it on real Nintendo 3DS hardware today. Nothing changes for past buyers, who can still access their purchased games if they bought the digital version before the closure.

It stands as a good example of its genre on the handheld.
