Hero of Sparta for Nintendo 3DS
About Hero of Sparta for Nintendo 3DS
Hero of Sparta casts you as Argos, a Spartan warrior who wakes on a strange shore after a shipwreck and finds himself caught in the schemes of the Greek gods. Armed with sword and shield, he must cross cursed lands, climb into the heavens and challenge creatures from myth. The story is a bold tour through Greek legend, from the underworld to Mount Olympus, with Ares and other gods watching a mortal who refuses to kneel.
Combat is direct and satisfying. Argos chains sword combos, blocks attacks and finishes wounded enemies with dramatic strikes. Along the journey you earn new weapons and armor, including famous mythical gear that changes how fights feel. Simple puzzles and climbing sections break up the battles, and huge bosses like the Hydra demand patience and quick reflexes. This handheld version keeps the adventure compact, making it an easy action game to enjoy in short sessions. Its short chapters make the myth feel big, bold and easy to follow in handheld form.

Physical hunting is the story for this title nowadays. Nintendo closed the Nintendo 3DS eShop in March 2023, which ended new digital purchases for the system. The practical route is a physical cartridge, found through a retailer, a games shop or a careful online seller. Owners of a digital copy bought before the closure can still access their purchased games without trouble. Ask for clear photos of the cartridge before paying any seller.
It remains a fine reason to revisit the system.
