Etrian Odyssey IV Legends of the Titan for Nintendo 3DS
About Etrian Odyssey IV Legends of the Titan for Nintendo 3DS
Etrian Odyssey IV Legends of the Titan sends your guild to Tharsis, a city near the great tree Yggdrasil. From your skyship you explore open lands dotted with caves, ruins and huge wandering beasts, searching for a path to the tree and the truth about the ancient Titans. The sense of open adventure is stronger here than in any earlier entry.
On the ground, first person dungeons ask you to draw careful maps on the touch screen while managing food, shortcuts and strong FOE monsters that roam the field. Ten classes, subclassing and burst skills give party building real depth. The skyship sections add a second layer of exploration, with balloon travel, supplies and aerial encounters. It remains a favorite entry for its balance of welcome and challenge. Difficulty stays fair throughout, asking for patience and learning rather than luck, which makes every success feel earned.

If you plan to pick this one up now, keep the current situation in mind. The Nintendo eShop for Nintendo 3DS closed in March 2023, so new digital purchases are no longer possible. Your best option now is a physical cartridge from a retailer or a reliable used game seller, ideally one you can inspect or return if something is wrong. People who bought the game digitally before the closure can still access their purchased games, so earlier owners keep what they paid for.
Some games age into treasures, and this one is quietly becoming one.
