Disney Epic Mickey: Power of Illusion for Nintendo 3DS

About Disney Epic Mickey: Power of Illusion for Nintendo 3DS

Disney Epic Mickey Power of Illusion sends Mickey Mouse into the Castle of Illusion, a strange place where forgotten cartoon characters have been trapped. The story pays tribute to a classic Sega platform game while tying into the Epic Mickey world of Wasteland. Mickey carries his magic paintbrush, and with help from Oswald and friends he sets out to free characters ranging from classic princesses to modern favorites like Rapunzel and Olaf.

Paint and thinner shape how you play. Paint restores objects and characters into the world, while thinner erases obstacles and foes, and choosing between them changes what paths open up. The touch screen handles sketch based powers, letting you draw items into being at key moments. Levels are drawn in a rich hand made style with layered scenery, and rescued characters fill a hub area with requests and rewards. It is a platform game with a gentle heart and deep love for Disney history. Every rescued character makes the castle feel more alive.

Copies of Mickeys castle adventure still circulate among collectors. Since the Nintendo eShop for Nintendo 3DS closed in March 2023, new digital purchases are no longer possible. A physical cartridge from a game retailer is the honest way in, and prices remain gentle for this one. Anyone who bought the game digitally before the shop closed can still access their purchased games whenever they like.

A lovely gift for anyone raised on Disney films.
