About Crush 3D for Nintendo 3DS
Crush 3D is a puzzle platformer built on one brilliant idea: you can crush a 3D world into a flat 2D plane and back again. You play as Danny, a young man testing a machine that explores the mind, who becomes trapped inside a surreal landscape built from his own thoughts. Platforms that sit far apart in 3D become neighbors when the world is flattened, and unreachable ledges suddenly become a short walk away. Every level is a small optical illusion that you get to climb through.
The core move never stops being delightful. You explore in 3D, spot a gap that looks impossible, then crush the view from the right angle and watch the level rearrange itself beneath your feet. Different block types behave differently when crushed, some becoming solid ground and others turning into walls or vanishing entirely. Later stages add enemies, switches and moving pieces that demand real planning. The difficulty grows into proper head scratchers, and the story between levels gives the puzzles a melancholy and personal frame about memory and the mind.

Clever puzzle games age beautifully, and this one still feels fresh. The Nintendo eShop for Nintendo 3DS closed in March 2023, so new digital purchases are no longer possible. A physical cartridge from a retailer is easy to find and makes a smart addition to a puzzle shelf. Players who bought the game digitally before the closure can still access their purchased games on their 3DS and keep crushing dimensions.
A puzzle idea so good it still feels like magic.
