Comic Workshop 2 for Nintendo 3DS

About Comic Workshop 2 for Nintendo 3DS

Comic Workshop 2 builds on the charm of the first pocket manga studio and gives 3DS artists a richer set of tools. Drawing your own comics is the whole point: you lay out panels, sketch characters, add speech bubbles and finish pages with effects and color. This second edition expands the palette and the options, so stories can look brighter and more personal than before. It keeps the same welcoming spirit, inviting anyone with a story in their head to start turning it into pages they can share.

New tools make coloring and detailing easier, and improved options for text and page layout help longer stories stay organized. You can work across many pages, revisit old projects and keep building a personal library of comics on one system. Sharing features of the era let friends read and react to your work, which pushed many young artists to finish their first real stories here. The stylus driven drawing stays simple and direct, so ideas move from imagination to page with very little friction in between.

Sequels to niche art tools rarely get physical releases, and this was a digital favorite. The Nintendo eShop for Nintendo 3DS closed in March 2023, so new digital purchases are no longer possible. That makes earlier buyers the main keepers of this studio today. Anyone who bought it digitally before the closure can still access their purchased games and applications on their own 3DS, so their comic library stays right where they left it.

More color, more pages, more stories to tell.
