Combat of Giants: Dinosaurs 3D for Nintendo 3DS

About Combat of Giants: Dinosaurs 3D for Nintendo 3DS

Combat of Giants: Dinosaurs 3D arrived with the launch of the Nintendo 3DS and put giant fighting dinosaurs front and center. An arkosaurus army threatens the land, and you raise a dinosaur champion to push them back across jungles, deserts and volcanic plains. You choose from famous species, each with its own strengths, and guide your giant through a world map full of rivals who want to test their claws. For younger players especially, the fantasy of controlling a living, roaring dinosaur was the whole appeal, and the game delivers it with gusto.

Battles are dramatic one on one contests where timing your attacks, blocks and special moves decides the winner. Between fights you customize your dinosaur with bones, feathers and colors earned along the way, turning your fighter into a personal creation. Exploration sections let you roam, find items and trigger the next battle at your own pace. The 3D effect was a showcase in the early days of the system, making the giants feel huge as they clash. Growing stronger across the campaign keeps the simple formula satisfying.

Launch era titles like this are easy and fun to collect on cartridge. The Nintendo eShop for Nintendo 3DS closed in March 2023, so new digital purchases are no longer possible. Physical copies from retailers are plentiful and usually inexpensive, which suits a family pickup. Players who bought the game digitally before the closure can still access their purchased games on their system, though most fans of this one know it as a boxed launch title.

Big claws, big roars and big fun for dinosaur fans.
