Bravely Default for Nintendo 3DS

About Bravely Default for Nintendo 3DS

Bravely Default is a grand role playing adventure in the land of Luxendarc. The four elemental crystals that keep the world in balance are falling into darkness, and wind vestal Agnes sets out to restore them. She is joined by amnesiac flirt Ringabel, loyal soldier Edea and gentle farm boy Tiz, whose home was swallowed by a great chasm. Their journey crosses kingdoms, deserts and seas in a story full of twists. Hand painted towns and a soaring soundtrack give the quest a storybook beauty.

Battles shine thanks to the Brave and Default commands. Default guards and stores a point, while Brave spends points to act several times in one turn, even borrowing turns from the future at real risk. The job system offers more than twenty roles, from monk and black mage to vampire and salve maker, and mixing abilities between jobs creates powerful personal builds. Summons, special moves and friend abilities add even more flavor. It is a system that rewards bold thinking in every single fight.

This beloved adventure is easy to find on cartridge today. The Nintendo eShop for Nintendo 3DS closed in March 2023, so new digital purchases are no longer possible. The honest way to play now is a physical cartridge from a retailer, and it had a wide boxed release in most regions. Players who bought the game digitally before the closure can still access their purchased games on their system. Collector editions exist too for fans who want the full package.

It is a modern classic that honors the golden age of the genre.
