Senran Kagura 2: Shinku for Nintendo 3DS

About Senran Kagura 2: Shinku for Nintendo 3DS

Senran Kagura 2 Shinku continues the story of the young shinobi students of the Hanzo and Hebijo academies, who keep training in secret while rival schools test their strength. This entry is known in the west as Senran Kagura 2 Deep Crimson, and it sends its cast on a journey that mixes school life, friendship and serious battles against dark forces. The tone jumps between light comedy and real danger, and the large cast means there is always a new personality stepping into the spotlight.

Combat is quick and bold, built around long combos, aerial juggles and special shinobi arts that fill the screen. The big new idea is pair battles, where two fighters work as a team and can swap places or strike together with joint attacks. Costumes and weapons change how each girl feels in a fight, and giant boss battles break up the regular stages. The Nintendo 3DS version uses the touch screen for menus and keeps the action smooth during busy fights.

One thing every buyer should know today is that the Nintendo eShop for Nintendo 3DS closed in March 2023, so buying a fresh digital copy is no longer an option. The practical route now is a physical cartridge, which game shops and online sellers still stock from time to time. Players who bought the game digitally before the closure can still access their purchased games on their system. A boxed copy also looks great in a series collection.

Shinku rewards fans who enjoy loud action and a big cheerful cast.
