Animal Crossing Plaza for Nintendo Wii U

About Animal Crossing Plaza for Nintendo Wii U

Animal Crossing Plaza was a free social app for the Wii U that gave Animal Crossing fans a place to meet. Your Mii could wander a bright plaza filled with villagers from Animal Crossing New Leaf, chat about favorite characters and share posts with other fans around the world. It connected with the Nintendo 3DS game, letting players show off their towns and dream addresses. The plaza changed with the seasons and special events, so there was often something new to see when you stopped by for a visit.

The fun here was simple and social. You could organize your favorite villagers, decorate posts with stamps and read messages from players everywhere. Polls asked fun questions about village life, and special characters appeared for holidays and celebrations. It was never a full game with goals and endings, but a friendly community space built around a beloved series. For fans waiting between town visits on the handheld game, the plaza felt like a little holiday.

Platform	Nintendo Wii U
Release	2013
Available on	Physical copies for Nintendo Wii U

Today this game lives on through physical copies, because the Nintendo eShop for Nintendo Wii U closed in March 2023 and new digital purchases are no longer possible. Look for the disc at a retailer that handles older games. If you were one of the players who bought it digitally before the closure, you can still access your purchased games whenever you like. That keeps early supporters playing while giving new fans a clear and honest path in.

Give it an evening and it will win you over.
