Animal Crossing: New Leaf Welcome amiibo for Nintendo 3DS

About Animal Crossing: New Leaf Welcome amiibo for Nintendo 3DS

Animal Crossing: New Leaf Welcome amiibo is the updated edition of the mayor life classic, adding fresh reasons to return to town. The heart of the game is unchanged and still wonderful: you run a village of animal friends, shape it with public works, decorate your home and live by the real world clock. On top of that life sits a layer of new content built around amiibo figures and cards.

The biggest addition is a campground run by the laid back Harvey, where visiting animals park their campers and sell special furniture. Scanning amiibo lets you invite favorite villagers to move in, and a magical lamp spirit can grant wishes tied to the figures you scan. Daily tasks earn coupons for rare items, and two full bonus games, a desert island adventure and a puzzle league, hide inside for players who find the right furniture. For collectors, the campground alone justifies the edition, since rare furniture sets rotate through the campers and give long time players fresh decorating goals every week.

This updated edition is a physical find today. The Nintendo eShop for Nintendo 3DS closed in March 2023, so new digital purchases are no longer possible for the game. A physical cartridge from a retailer is the honest way to play the Welcome amiibo edition now. Players who bought New Leaf digitally before the closure can still access their purchased games as before.

The fullest version of a town that millions called home.
