WarioWare Touched brings the microgame madness to the touch screen. After Wario grabs a strange two screened handheld from a mysterious stranger, his crew at WarioWare Inc. gets to work building games that use poking, rubbing, dragging and scribbling instead of buttons. Every stage belongs to a different character, from Jimmy T at the disco to young witch Ashley in her spooky mansion. The story scenes are short and silly, and the games themselves last only a few frantic seconds each.

Nearly two hundred microgames keep the pace breathless. You might slice a banana, balance a stack, guide a paper plane or blow a dandelion apart, all within moments. Clearing stages unlocks toys and gadgets in the Toy Room, odd distractions that range from a tiny piano to a pudding you can poke. Boss stages cap each character set, and later mixes shuffle every game together at rising speed for score chasers who think the early rounds felt a little too calm.

This classic now comes with a modern buying note. The Nintendo eShop for Nintendo 3DS closed in March 2023, so new digital purchases are no longer possible. The original cartridge for the older handheld also plays on Nintendo 3DS systems, and used copies are common and cheap in game shops everywhere. If you claimed the special digital reward release back then, you can still access your purchased games on your system and revisit the Toy Room today.
