Yakari: The Mystery of Four Seasons for Nintendo 3DS
About Yakari: The Mystery of Four Seasons for Nintendo 3DS
Yakari The Mystery of Four Seasons follows the young Sioux boy from the beloved comics and cartoon as the seasons turn strange in his homeland. Riding his pony Little Thunder, Yakari sets out to learn why nature has fallen out of balance. He speaks with animals, helps his tribe and crosses plains, forests and rivers that change with the season in the title. The mood is kind and curious, made for younger players who like their adventures warm rather than frightening or rushed.
Play mixes simple platforming, light puzzles and tasks given by animals and tribe members. Each season brings its own look and its own small challenges, from flooded paths in spring to icy ground in winter. Yakari's gift for talking with animals opens solutions a normal rider would miss, and collecting items along the trail rewards slow exploring. The controls and goals stay clear, so children can follow the story with little help while adults enjoy the hand drawn charm beside them on the couch.

For families looking to ride along today, here is the route. The Nintendo eShop for Nintendo 3DS closed in March 2023, so new digital purchases are no longer possible. This title reached shops as a physical cartridge in many regions, and copies appear with sellers of family and comic based games. Households that bought the digital version in the store years can still access their purchased games on their Nintendo 3DS too. Either way, Little Thunder is ready to ride again.
Talking to animals turns out to be very handy.
