Wii Party U for Nintendo Wii U

About Wii Party U for Nintendo Wii U

Wii Party U is Nintendo's big party collection for the Wii U, packed with around eighty mini games for family and friends. Modes range from board game style journeys to quick one minute contests, with your Miis at the center of everything. The GamePad becomes dice, a controller, a screen for secrets and sometimes the whole game itself. Some modes are built for two players sharing one GamePad like a tabletop, which gives the collection a cozy board game feel. It is friendly, colorful and designed so grandparents can win as easily as experts.

Variety is the whole point. One moment you are racing, balancing or spotting differences, and the next you are playing a GamePad only mini game like table football or a puzzle duel. House Party mode uses the GamePad and television together for games that spill across the room. The Suggest a Game feature even picks activities based on player count and time available. Sessions can last ten minutes or a full evening, and the simple rules mean nobody sits out confused. Few Wii U collections suit mixed age groups this well.
