Swords and Soldiers 3D takes the award winning strategy romp and rebuilds it for the Nintendo 3DS. Three proud factions, Vikings, Aztecs and the Chinese army, march to war over pride, glory and in the Viking case a legendary barbecue sauce. Battles play out on a single lane where your troops walk toward the enemy base on their own. Your job is to gather gold and mana, choose what to build and decide when to unleash powerful spells.
The fun comes from timing and tough choices. Do you save mana for a lightning strike or spend it on healing your front line right now? Each faction plays differently, with units and spells that reward different styles. The campaign strings battles together with funny scenes, and skirmish modes let you test strategies freely. The 3D effect adds depth to the busy battlefield without getting in the way. Matches are short and lively, which suits the handheld perfectly, and the cartoon art keeps even defeats feeling cheerful.

This strategy title reached the 3DS as a digital release. The Nintendo eShop for Nintendo 3DS closed in March 2023, so new digital purchases are no longer possible at this point.
