Space Hulk brings the classic Warhammer 40,000 board game to the screen as a tense tactical battle in the dark. A squad of Space Marine Terminators boards a vast derelict ship, a space hulk, where Genestealers nest in the vents and shadows. Every corridor is a firing lane and every door could hide claws. The missions are about holding ground, protecting your squad and finishing the objective before the swarm overwhelms your careful plans.

Turns revolve around action points: move, turn, shoot or set overwatch, then hope your Terminators hold when the Genestealers rush. Dice decide hits, which keeps even perfect plans deliciously tense, and one blocked corridor can doom a whole squad. Flamers, lightning claws and heavy weapons each suit different missions, and the campaign grows harder as the hulk reveals its secrets. It is slow, heavy and ruthless, exactly as a Terminator mission should feel. There is a handmade charm to the whole thing, the feeling of a team building exactly the game they wanted to play.
