Shin Megami Tensei Deep Strange Journey is the Japanese name of the enhanced edition known in the west as Shin Megami Tensei Strange Journey Redux. A black void called the Schwarzwelt has appeared in Antarctica and keeps growing, threatening the whole planet. You join an elite international team sent inside, where the void turns out to be a maze of twisted realms that reflect the worst habits of mankind. A new character, Alex, adds fresh mystery to this expanded version of the story.

Exploration happens in first person as you map maze like sectors filled with traps, hidden doors and roaming demons. Battles are turn based, and your whole party strikes together when you hit a weakness, which makes team composition vital. Demons can be talked into joining, then fused into stronger allies with the help of your powered Demonica suit. This edition adds voice acting, new demons, a new dungeon and quality touches that make the long investigation smoother for modern players.
