Sengoku Musou Chronicle 2nd for Nintendo 3DS

About Sengoku Musou Chronicle 2nd for Nintendo 3DS

Sengoku Musou Chronicle 2nd is the expanded Japanese follow up to Samurai Warriors Chronicles, and it never received a release in the west. Once again you create a young officer and live through the great battles of the Warring States period, but this time the story branches further, new famous generals join the cast and entirely new modes widen the package. For Japanese players it was the definitive version of a much loved launch idea.

The core battlefield action remains gloriously excessive, with your officer cutting through hundreds of soldiers and switching places with allies across the map. Branching story paths let you side with different forces and see history from fresh angles, which greatly improves replay value. A cooperative and competitive multiplayer mode lets friends share the battlefield, while new playable generals like Ii Naotora bring fresh fighting styles. It is a generous expansion in every direction, built squarely for fans of the first game.

This expanded chapter stayed in Japan and now sits with importers. The Nintendo eShop for Nintendo 3DS closed in March 2023, so new digital purchases are no longer possible. A physical cartridge from an import retailer is the practical path for overseas fans today. Japanese players who bought it digitally before the closure can still access their purchased games, keeping their branched histories safe on their systems.

It is the fuller history that the west missed.
