Rhythm Thief & the Emperor’s Treasure for Nintendo 3DS

About Rhythm Thief & the Emperor’s Treasure for Nintendo 3DS

Rhythm Thief and the Emperor's Treasure follows Raphael, a polite young art thief in Paris who returns stolen paintings in secret while hunting for his missing father. By day he is an ordinary student, but by night he becomes the stylish Phantom R, slipping past guards with dance moves and perfect timing. The animated story mixes mystery, music and a touch of romance, and Paris itself becomes a playground of rooftops, museums and moonlit streets.

Nearly every action becomes a rhythm game. You tap, slide and tilt in time with the music to sneak past lasers, dance against rivals, cook in a busy kitchen or flee across the rooftops. The songs range from jazzy numbers to classical pieces, and the touch controls feel natural on the handheld. Between stages you explore a map of Paris, talk to locals and solve gentle sound based puzzles. The variety keeps the adventure fresh from the first heist to the final revelation.

This stylish caper now takes a physical search. The Nintendo eShop for Nintendo 3DS closed in March 2023, so new digital purchases are no longer possible. A cartridge from a retailer is the dependable way to start the adventure today. Players who bought the game digitally before the store closed can still access their purchased games, meaning their Paris escapades remain playable on their own systems whenever they wish.

It swings with a style few rhythm games can match.
