Picross E1 for Nintendo 3DS
About Picross E1 for Nintendo 3DS
Picross E1 is where the long running E series begins on Nintendo 3DS. The idea is beautifully simple. Number clues along the top and side of a grid tell you exactly how many squares to fill in each row and column. There is only one correct picture, and pure logic, never guessing, will find it. Fill the right squares and a small illustration appears at the end, rewarding every deduction. This first entry keeps things clean and focused, making it a friendly doorway into one of the most satisfying puzzle styles ever made.
Puzzles start on small grids that teach the basics gently, then grow into larger boards where a single mistake can tangle the whole picture. You can mark squares you suspect, place temporary notes and use the stylus to work quickly and neatly on the touch screen. A hint system can nudge you when you are truly stuck, and clearing puzzles unlocks new sets in Normal and Free modes, where Free mode removes the safety net and lets errors slip by unseen. Short sessions suit it perfectly, since one puzzle makes a fine coffee break challenge.

Time has changed how Picross E1 can be found. The Nintendo eShop for Nintendo 3DS closed in March 2023, so new digital purchases are no longer possible, and this title never received a cartridge release. That leaves the existing owners as its guardians. Anyone who bought it digitally before the closure can still access their purchased games, so the experience survives for those who were there in time.
Every great puzzle habit has to start with a first grid.
