Petit Novel Series: Harvest December for Nintendo 3DS

About Petit Novel Series: Harvest December for Nintendo 3DS

Harvest December is a quiet visual novel set in a small town buried under snow for much of the year. Masaki Konno, a young man with a complicated past, moves to this cold and sleepy place hoping for a calmer life. Instead he quickly finds himself surrounded by lively classmates, local legends and one very unusual girl who claims to be a god of the town itself. The story plays out across the month of December, with school days, festivals and long snowy evenings slowly drawing everyone closer as Christmas approaches and feelings begin to change.

This is a reading focused experience, built for slow and cozy sessions. The story advances through text, soft artwork and music, with choices at key moments that steer Masaki toward different relationships and different endings. Small everyday scenes carry as much weight as the big dramatic ones, and the supernatural thread running under the romance keeps the tale from feeling ordinary. The short chapters suit handheld reading at bedtime. It is a tender, low key story about new beginnings and learning to trust people again.

There is an honest catch for new players. Petit Novel Series was sold as a digital release, and the Nintendo eShop for Nintendo 3DS closed in March 2023, so new digital purchases are no longer possible. With no cartridge edition to hunt for, the game now lives on the systems of the people who bought it in time, since they can still access their purchased games whenever they wish.

It is a small, warm story that lingers like fresh snow.
