Minecraft Super Mario Edition for Nintendo Wii U

About Minecraft Super Mario Edition for Nintendo Wii U

Minecraft Super Mario Edition adds a full Mario makeover to the Wii U version of Minecraft. A free content pack reshaped the blocky world with textures, skins and music based on decades of Mario adventures. Grass blocks, bricks and even the sun wear a Mushroom Kingdom look, and statues of Mario, Luigi and friends stand ready for photos. You also get a ready made Mario world to explore, filled with famous places rebuilt in blocks. It is a joyful crossover built for Nintendo fans.

Gameplay stays true to Minecraft, with digging, crafting and building at the center of everything. The Mario world invites pure exploring, since pipes, castles and question blocks hide around every corner. Character skins let you roam as Mario, Luigi, Peach, Bowser and many more, which makes group sessions on the couch extra silly. Classic Mario tunes play while you build, giving long projects a warm nostalgic feeling. The GamePad screen works for inventory and for playing on the GamePad alone.

Some honest buying notes for today. The Nintendo eShop for Nintendo Wii U closed in March 2023, so new digital purchases are no longer possible. Physical Wii U discs of Minecraft sold by retailers include this Mario content, making a disc the honest way to play now. Owners who bought the game digitally before the closure can still access their purchased games whenever they like. Check that any used disc is the Wii U version before paying.

It is Minecraft wearing its happiest Mario smile.
