Mighty No. 9 for Nintendo Wii U

About Mighty No. 9 for Nintendo Wii U

Mighty No. 9 stars Beck, a kind hearted robot built by the gentle Dr. White. A computer virus turns the other Mighty Numbers into wild machines, and Beck is the only one left able to stop them. Each stage ends with a duel against a former ally who now fights under the grip of the virus. The story stays light and bright, told with cheerful voices and bold colors. It wears its love for classic robot hero games proudly on every screen.

Beck runs, jumps and blasts through stages packed with traps and enemy robots. His signature move lets him dash through weakened foes and absorb their power, turning a tough fight into a quick combo chain. Beating a boss grants a new weapon shaped around that boss and its element. The Wii U GamePad keeps the action smooth, and short stages make the game easy to enjoy in quick sessions. Score chasing adds replay value for players who enjoy mastering every route.

Buying a copy today takes a little care. The Nintendo eShop for Nintendo Wii U closed in March 2023, so new digital purchases are no longer possible. The honest way to play now is a physical disc sold by a retailer or a game shop in your area. Players who bought the game digitally before the closure can still access their purchased games on their console. A second hand disc in good shape works just as well.

Robot fans will find plenty of old school charm here.
